The DrillerZ-Eco Airotor Handpiece – Super Torque-Push Button LED is appreciated by customers for its High Torque, comfort, and very easy operation due to its highly elegant Peacock Neck design. The handpiece itself consists of internal mechanical components which initiate a rotational force and provide power to the cutting instrument, usually a dental burr. The type of apparatus used clinically will vary depending on the required function dictated by the dental procedure. It is common for a light source and cooling water-spray system to also be incorporated into certain handpieces; this improves visibility, accuracy, and overall success of the procedure.

• Generally used for operative procedures such as the removal of dental caries or for polishing enamel or restorative materials.
• A straight slow-speed handpiece is generally indicated for the extraoral adjustment and polishing of acrylic and metals.

Direction to Use :

• Sterilization: Ensure the handpiece is sterilized according to standard protocols before use.
• Bur Installation: Insert the appropriate bur into the chuck and secure it using the push-button Led mechanism. Verify that the bur is firmly seated.
• Connection: Attach the handpiece to the dental unit’s air tubing, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection.
• Testing: Activate the handpiece to check for proper rotation and functionality before intraoral use.
• Operation: Use light, controlled pressure while engaging the bur with the tooth surface to prevent overheating or damage.
• Post-Use Care: Detach the handpiece, remove the bur, and clean thoroughly. Follow sterilization protocols to prepare for the next use.

• They’re one-piece units with a slight curve in appearance and are much louder in use than slow-speed handpieces. The head angulation can vary between handpieces.
• The only additional item used with high speeds is a bur: a rotary instrument with a friction grip (that works like a drill bit in a drill). We’ll come back to burs later.
  
• Typically rotating at between 180,000 and 450,000 rpm, they incorporate water spray as a coolant due to the large amount of heat that they would otherwise produce.
• Cooling the tooth helps prevent overheating of the pulp. Water delivery can be ‘a multi-port (three or four spray points) or a single port. A multi-port jet allows for a higher cutting rate.
  
• To lubricate the high-speed handpiece, inject lubricant into the smallest of the two large holes until it’s lightly pouring out. Before reusing it, attach it to your dental unit and run it for approximately 10 seconds.
